What is a wafer Butterfly Valve?
A type of valve used to regulate the flow of fluids in a pipe system is a wafer butterfly valve. This valve is made up of a stem-attached disk-shaped component. The valve can open and shut because the disc may turn around the stem.
Wafer check valves are in-line pipe valves used in plumbing systems to control fluid flow direction and lessen or completely eliminate potential backflow. Clack valves, reflux valves, non-return valves, and one-way valves are other names for wafer check valves.
What is a Butterfly Valve?
A butterfly valve is a member of the family of quarter-turn, bi-directional, rotary motion valves used to stop, control, or start flow. In order to transition from the completely open to the fully closed position, quarter turn valves simply need to be rotated 90 degrees. They are also known as fast-acting valves for this reason.
The plug has a rod running through it and is formed like a disc, giving it the appearance of wings. The disc rotates by a quarter when the rod is turned, falling perpendicular to the flow and stopping it. The disc is rotated back to its original position, which is away from the flow in order to restart the flow. To regulate the flow, the valve can also be opened gradually.
